hello again

I’ve been quiet for a while… well, not so many posts anyway.

I’m working on finishing a new felted bag called SWITCH.  Hopefully I can finish the top and straps soon… then felt it of course.  I’m just needing another check mark of accomplishment I think.  I’ll be looking for test knitters after I get it all done and double check the pattern.  The one problem that I’m looking at was that a.) I didn’t write it down while I was doing it, b.) there’s not much “pattern” to it… I like to do a lot of random and the middle section will be difficult to explain… shoot.

It’s Friday, Do you know where YOUR Hurricane is?

I’m having hurricane whip-lash.  That is to say that we get threatened with hurricanes so often now that I never know which one they’re talking about.  It’s getting to be a bit annoying.  but, eh.  whatever.

I’m a struggling spinner now.  Very frustrated that I’ll never get it!!  o.k. I’m just impatient.  Hopefully I can figure it out soon.  Or at least ‘get it’ a little to make me not regret getting the wheel.  o.k. I’m going to stop whining… I really am excited about my wheel.  I just wish I knew someone who could be here with me to help me out…

So, I’m having a good school week.  I got a reply back on my shop proposal paper and my instructor says it’s “PERFECT” yes, that’s a quote.  She said that it flowed well and she couldn’t think of anything I should edit on it!!!!  WHAT!!??  I love that!  O.k. so maybe I might be good at this after all.  It feels good that after so much dreaming, it might be something I could actually do.  (or that others think it would be a good idea too!)  I’m so excited.  I  just might bounce off the walls this weekend!

O.k. happy readers, we’re looking at the weekend… Thank Goodness!

Although, I’m not really looking forward to my Mom leaving.  Hopefully the hurricane helps to keep her here a little longer!!

So, there I was reading other blogs and thought I’d take a shot at my own. How am I doing?

I guess I should introduce myself to my millions of loyal readers out there… I live and work in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I am married and have a beautiful little girl who is 2 1/2.

My name is Cerina and I am a knit-aholic, hi Cerina. I have a yarn stash that might make you shudder. I might need to hire a team of 10 to get it all knit up (of course then I could go get more!!).

My favorite LYS is The Loopy Ewe. Of course online but, it’s the closest to Gitmo…. click, click, click!!!

My recent exciting purchase was a spinning wheel!!!! yay! It’s a Schacht Matchless and I can’t wait to learn how to use it!!

Well, it’s Thursday in Gitmo. The storm seems to have decided that we’re not worth the effort.. honestly, I’m glad. I did however enjoy the lazy day that it gave me yesterday as we all prepared to have our a**es handed to us. WHEW! (oh, and the storm pretty much avoided us altogether…. fyi)

I am very happy to announce that my Mom will in fact be able to come down and visit! (We were a little if-y because of good ol’ Gustav.) But, she should be here tomorrow evening. I really can’t wait to see her. I know Cid will be very excited to!
